Visit the jewels of South Korea with this tour that brings you to the oldest surviving observatory in East Asia, sip on persimmon wine and marvel at the strange phenomenon at Mystery Road.

While in Busan, a lot of visitors with extra time or day allowance would consider a trip to nearby state, Gyeongju. Gyeongju houses one of South Korea’s most important historical monuments – Cheomseongdae, the star-gazing tower that was built back in 7th century, also the oldest surviving observatory in East Asia. This is where you get to see ancient people’s intelligence and innovation in studying the world, as well as the unknown.

The Gam Wine Tunnel in South Korea is the world’s first persimmon wine cellar. A trip to the persimmon wine cellar offers more than just a great experience for the taste bud, but it’s a new sensation for the eyes and body as well. The wine cellar is set in the middle of a mountain, inside a tunnel, so that the temperature stays at optimal level that’s best for fermenting persimmons. It is also a scenic location where the surrounding orchards offer a beautiful view and the interior decorations give off an elegant vibe.

The Mystery Road on Jeju Island, also known as Dokkaebi Road, is a popular tourist destination. Due to optical illusion, a road that’s supposed to be going downhill appears like an uphill route in human eyes. Hence, locals and visitors would all flock here to experience the strange sight of water bottles rolling uphill, water climbing its way up the road and cars going uphill without engine power.
