Located about 64 miles offshore from mersing, Johor, Malaysia. Requires a 1 1/2 hours ride by Qatamaran boat from Mersing (mainland). Lanting resort is situated at the far end of the resort. It takes another 15 minutes boat ride to the resort jetty from the main jetty. This resort is quite secluded from other resorts. One thing unique about this resort is that the whole structure is actually built on big rocky hills.
The view at this rocky and hilly resort is breathtaking, almost like a bird's eye view. On your way to the dining and leisure are you have to climb a very steep staircase, so steep that you can touch the stairs while climbing it. When reaching there, you can see a collection of antiques, ie. watches, cameras, gramophone, antique radio set.
