The Sri Lankan mystique perseveres, unfurling before the senses as soon you arrive: the heavy warm air, the rich green foliage, the luxuriant swirls of the Sinhalese alphabet, the multicoloured Buddhist flags, and the kaleidoscope of saris, fruits, jewellery and spices on display in the markets.

During this tour you will visit Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka at115km from Colombo at 465 meters above sea level. Famous for the Temple of the Tooth and many other temples, the city could be called the cultural capital of the island. This bustling market town is rich in cultural diversity and has plenty to offer from songs dances and handy crafts to ancient temples and adventure activities. This sacred city is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

You will also visit Nuwara Eliya at around 2000m above sea level and surrounded by lush tea plantations Nuwara Eliya is the main hill resort of Sri Lanka and the heart of the tea industry. Once a pleasure retreat of the European planters the town is still very much an English town with many English style bungalows and buildings. Nuwara Eliya is a good escape for those who miss cool breeze in tropical Sri Lanka at any time of the year.

You will also be taken to Galle, a UNESCO site, heavy with Dutch influence, Kataragama, a unique pilgrimage site and Bentoto, a seaside town. All in all a comprehensive tour of Sri Lanka.

The main shrine, which is devoted to Skanda, is popularly described in the eulogies as a God with six faces and twelve arms. The history of the shrine dates back to 2nd century of BC.

The Temple complex consists of Ul-Khizr that houses the tombs of Muslim saints from Kyrgyzstan & India. It is a beautiful small mosque with coloured tile work and wooden lintels. Next to the Muslim Ul- Khizar, is a Hindu temple of God Shiva. We continue our journey up to the main avenue, passing by a string of minor shrines, before reaching the main shrine, the Maha Devale.

This Dutch fort is the most popular attraction of the town. The 300-year old Dutch atmosphere is still very much alive around the fort.

Next we visit the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Then we visit the Bandaranaike Memorial International Convention Hall or BMICH.
