Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang province and its political, economic and cultural center. With its famous natural beauty and cultural heritages, Hangzhou is one of China's most important tourist venues. There is a popular saying: "Above there is heaven, below there are Hangzhou and Suzhou." Hangzhou's "heavenly" beauty attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists to its exquisite West Lake (Xi Hu) area each year to enjoy the placid lake, beautiful gardens, reflecting pools, lavish temples and lakeside teahouses.

Suzhou is an ancient city with a 2500 years' history. The unique characteristics of the past are still retained in present-day Suzhou. The double-chessboard layout of Suzhou, with 'the streets and rivers go side by side while the water and land routes run in parallel', are preserved basically intact. Strolling the streets, you can feel the unique lingering charm of this landscape left by its long history.

The beautiful and historic city’s nine classical Chinese gardens are considered to be masterpieces and as such are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Suzhou is also famous for its stone bridges and pagodas in addition to its numerous beautiful gardens. The entire city was designated by the Chinese government as one of only four cities in China where the preservation of cultural and historical heritage has been labeled as a priority, and after visiting the city you will easily understand why it was chosen for special protection.

Shanghai bears witness to the last 100 years. For anyone who is interested in the history of modern China, Shanghai serves as an ideal starting point. Regarded as the 'Oriental Pearl', the city has a unique and important place in modern China and its rich heritage is worthy of exploration.

Shanghai has grown from a provincial city into an international metropolis on par with New York and Paris in just ten years. No other city in the world has done this - it is unique! The throbbing and fast-paced night life rivals that of any major western city. Chic bars, world-class restaurants, futuristic hotels, boutiques dot the streets of Shanghai.

The city is a major tourist destination renowned for its historical landmarks such as the Bund and Xintiandi, its modern and ever-expanding Pudong skyline including the impressive Oriental Pearl Tower, and its new reputation as a cosmopolitan center of culture and design.

Today, Shanghai is the largest center of commerce and finance in mainland China, and has been described as the "showpiece" of the world's fastest-growing economy.

Shanghai continues to develop at an amazing speed and there is every reason to expect Shanghai to continue to surprise the world.
