Day 1

ARRIVE TRIBHUVAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, KATHMANDU

Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and be transferred to hotel for check in.

Day 2

KATHMANDU (B,L,D)

After breakfast, proceed on a tour around Kathmandu. Firstly, we will stop at Patan Dubar Square which is situated on the southern area in the heart of the city, which makes it the focus of visitor's attraction. The square is full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines which is noted for its exquisite carvings. Hunt for unique souvenirs in the various shops around the square before proceeding to Kathmandu Dubar Square, the historic seat of royalty. The Dubar Square, a place with old temples and palaces is the place where Kings of Nepal were crowned and have their coronations solemnized. Visit Kasthamandup Temple - a temple rumored to be constructed from the wood of a single tree, Taleju Temple, gigantic figure of Kal Bhairav (the God of Destruction), Basantapur Palace, Kumari temple - the residence of the Living Goddess, Kumari. The temple has profusely carved wooden balconies and window screens. It was built by Jaya Prakash Malla, the last king of Malla monarchy in Kathmandu. The Kumari acknowledged their greetings from her balcony window. Photography is prohibited while Non-Hindu visitors may enter the courtyard but may not go beyond that. Lastly before returning to the hotel, visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, one of the world's most glorious Buddhist Stupas which is said to be 2000 years old. The Stupa is located 3km west of Kathmandu City and on a hillock about 77m above the level of the Valley.

Day 3

KATHMANDU - NAGARKOT (B,L,D)

After breakfast, go on a tour towards Bhaktapur Durban Square, the home of medieval art and architecture. Bhaktapur means the "City of Devotees" and it lies about 14km east of Kathmandu. The main square of the city contains innumerable temples and other architectural showpieces like the Lion Gate, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, the Golden Gate, the palace windows, the Batsaka Temple and the Bell of Barking Dogs, the replica of Pashupatinath Temple and many more. After that, proceed to Nagarkot, a popular hill station of Nepal. Situated 32km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2175m above the sea level, you will be able to see Mt. Everest clearly from the hotel. Upon arrival, check into hotel.

Day 4

NAGARKOT - KATHMANDU (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we will visit Pashupatinath Temple which is situated 5km east of Kathmandu on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River. The temple of Lord Shiva-Pashupatinath with two tiered golden roofs and silver doors is famous for its superb architecture. However, the entrance to the temple percinct is only permitted to Hindus but, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River, where dead bodies are cremated in the banks of this river. Next, visit Boudhnath Stupa which is located 8km east of Kathmandu. The colossal and ancient stupa is one of the biggest in the world and has all the seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is built on an octagonal-based inset with prayer wheels. We return to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 5

DEPART KATHMANDU (B)

After having breakfast, free at own leisure until transfers to the airport for your flight back home.
