ARRIVE BEIJING CAPITAL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - BEIJING (D)
Upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, you will be met by our representative then proceed to enjoy China's legendary Old Beijing acrobatic show. After dinner, check in hotel.
BEIJING (B,L,D)
After arrival, we will visit Tiananmen Square. The Square of the Gate of Heavenly Peace, is reportedly the largest public square in the world. Through the gate, enter into Forbidden City, the best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world.
The Forbidden City, home to 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, took 12 years to build. It consists of 90 palaces and courtyards, 980 buildings and 8,704 rooms. To represent the supreme power of the emperor given from God, the place where he lived being the center of the world, all structures of the Forbidden City were arranged at the south-north central axis of Beijing.
Next, we will proceed to the impressive Summer Palace which is ranked amongst the most noted and classical gardens of the world, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A photo stop at National Theatre of Beijing before we proceed to an excursion to a "Hutong" on an old town trishaw ride where you will be transported back to the past. Hutong is a typical lane or small street in Beijing that originated during the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368). As the symbol of Beijing City, a hutong has its own layout and structure, which makes it a wonder in the world.
After dinner, transfered back hotel.
BEIJING (B,L,D)
After breakfast, take a drive to visit the impressive Great Wall (Juyongguan), which is like a giant dragon stretching across North China. The 6350 km long Great Wall is a true wonder in the world architectural history. Meandering along the precipitous mountains, the Juyongguan Great Wall was first built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
Then we continue to the 13th Ming Emperor’s tomb - Ding Ling. The underground palace was excavated and open to public.
Next, to showcase the emergence of Beijing at the forefront of modernism, we will make a photo stop at the impresive and internationally acclaimed Olympic National Stadium, knows as the "Bird Nest" and National Aquatics Center known as the "Water Cube". Finally we proceed to Wangfujing Street. Reputed as the 'Golden Streets' of beijing, this most famous mecca of beijing is lined with stores catering to all fashion tastes and take a night walk to Donghuamen night market. After dinner, transfered back to hotel.
BEIJING (B,L,D)
After breakfast, proceed to Temple of Heaven, which served as an exclusive altar for Chinese monarchs during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Emperors of the two dynasties worshipped the heaven and prayed for rich harvests, as they regarded themselves as sons of heaven.
Next we visit Qianmen commercial area where you will see to two towering structures - Zhengyangmen's gate tower and watchtower - section of the imperial city's fortification during the Ming Dynasty to remain intact. Enjoy a leisurely walk here which features many China's time-honoured shops. With a history of over 500 years, it is a tourist hotspot.
Late in the evening, enjoy a shopping spree at Yaxiu Market where you will be able to find all kinds of imitation and branded goods and garments.
DEPART BEIJING (B)
After breakfast, free at own leisure until transfers to the airport for your flight back home.
