PHNOM PENH (B,L,D)
After breakfast, you will start your visit to Wat Phnom Hill, the historical site of Phnom Penh city, founded in 1372.Then proceed to visit Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda. Royal Palace was built in 1866 on the site of the former citadel, and a crowning example of Cambodian architecture and the official residence of Khmer’s King. Silver Pagoda was named as such due to the 5,000 silver tiles (each weighing 1kg) lining the floor of the temple. Also on display is the holiest Buddha image in Cambodia, Preah Keo (the Emerald Buddha). There to the National Museum where thousands of Khmer artifacts and ancient antiques are on displayed.
Continue visit to Toul Sleng, a memorial to the atrocities of Khmer Rouge Regime. Later, we will take a drive to visit Independent Monument which was inaugurated in 1958 to celebrate Cambodia’s independence from French rule and to commemorate the soul of the combatants who laid down their lives for freedom of the country. PHNOM PENH – TONLE BATY (B,L,D)
After breakfast, proceed to Tonle Baty, a 13th century temple, 35 km from south of Phnom Penh city.
After lunch, visit Killing Fields, 15 km from the city center, a site of the brutal executions during the Khmer Rouge Regime. After which we enjoy a sunset boat cruise along Mekong River.
DEPART PHNOM PENH (B)
After breakfast, free at your own leisure at a local market i.e. Central Market, Russian Market, or Sorya Shopping Center until transfer to airport for flight departure.
