Sun, sand and sea, a thousand ‘Robinson Crusoe’ islands, massive lagoons with different depths and infinite shades of blue and turquoise, dazzling underwater coral gardens; a perfect natural combination for the ideal tropical holiday destination.
Maldives consists of 1190 islands, spread over 26 atolls, ringlike coral formations enclosing a lagoon, which gives the Maldives its unique paradise-like appearance. Only about 200 islands are inhabited while another 87 are private tourist resorts. The capital Malé, the seat of government and the centre of trade, commerce, business, health and education, is located in the middle of the atoll chain, a small island buzzing with the sounds and activities of about 75.000 people which is about one third of the population.
The Maldives is famed for its rare underwater beauty. The profusion of psychedelic colours and the abundance and variety of life underwater have fascinated divers and snorkellers since Maldives was discovered as a diving destination.
Maldives ranks among the top five places on Earth for watching whales and dolphins. Over 20 different species (a quarter of the world’s total) call the Maldives home. These range from the mighty Blue Whale (the largest animal alive) to the diminutive but highly acrobatic Spinner Dolphin. Spinner Dolphins are the commonest species, and they occur here in their tens of thousands.
Fishing is not only the lifeblood of the Maldivian economy; it is also a popular pastime among locals as well as visitors. Maldivians enjoy a variety of different types of fishing. The most popular among these in night fishing. Big game fishing or morning fishing, if not included in the resorts weekly program, may be organized on request

Day 1
ARRIVE MALDIVES (D)
Upon arrival in Male International Airport, meet by local representative and proceed to jetty for your boat transferred to your resort for check in. Rest of the day at own leisure.
Day 2
MALDIVES (B,D)
After breakfast, enjoy another day with your own pace. You can choose to sunbathe or swim in the sea but, if you want more, go on an exploration trip around the island.
Day 3
MALDIVES (B,D)
After breakfast, enjoy the holiday on the island. Go for a swim or take a stroll along the sandy beach. It is your choice.
Day 4
DEPART MALDIVES (B)
After breakfast, free at own leisure until your transfer to the airport by speedboat to Male International Airport for your flight back home.
