Mount Bromo (Indonesian: Gunung Bromo), is an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, in East Java, Indonesia. At 2,329 metres (7,641 ft) it is not the highest peak of the massif, but is the most well known. The massif area is one of the most visited tourist attractions in East Java, Indonesia. The volcano belongs to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.

Mount Bromo sits in the middle of a vast plain called the Sea of Sand, a protected nature reserve since 1919.

Mount Bromo is easily recognized as the entire top has been blown off and the crater inside constantly belches white sulphurous smoke. It sits inside the massive Tengger caldera (diameter approximately 10 km), surrounded by the Laut Pasir (Sea of Sand) of fine volcanic sand. The overall effect is unsettlingly unearthly, especially when compared to the lush green valleys all around the caldera.

Day 1

ARRIVAL JUANDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SURABAYA - DEPART MOUNT BROMO
Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative at Juanda International Airport Surabaya and transferred to the hotel for check in.

Depart to Mount Bromo in the evening.

Day 2

MOUNT BROMO (B)
Upon arrival at Tosari village, hop on to a 4WD vehicle for a drive to Mount Pananjakan.
Have a break and enjoy sunrise from Mount Pananjakan. After that, we proceed to Mount Bromo by crossing the Sea of Sand.
You can either hike or pay on your own for a horse ride up to the peak of Mount Bromo. Be awed by the spectacular Bromo Crater.

After breakfast at Tosari Village we return to Surabaya.

Day 3

DEPART SURABAYA (B)
After breakfast, free at own leisure till transfer to airport for your flight back home.
